Date on our Visa-April 9th
Today is the date that is stamped on our Visa. It would be so great if we could leave in the next two weeks--however I think realistically we will not be leaving until the first week of May.
It is only a matter of time.
Today will also have been my cousin Matthew's 29th birthday. He was an amazing young boy. He died in 1991 from health complications. Matthew was and will always be a very special person in my life. I had the honor of spending three weeks with Matthew in the summer of 1988. I taught him how to "swim" that summer. It was awesome. I also introduced him to rap music--something his dad-my uncle Bob--did not appreciate!! Every night we'd watch "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy"--he'd win every time.
Matthew--you will always be in my heart.
Love,
Aleia

Aleisa,
I hope those TA's come this week too. I am frustrated right there along with you and don't understand what is taking so long! Here's to this week! Really hoping for today!
Aleisa,
As a new Lianjiang mom myself, I know what this wait is like. We received our referral for Kylie on November 30 and didn't get TA until January 12. That was the longest six weeks of my life!!!
Then our travel dates got bumped back a week due to overbooked consulate appointments, but we finally met our darling girl on February 5. Hang in there, when you finally hold Maya you will forget how eternal this part of the wait has seemed!
I'll be checking back for the good news that you have your TA!
Chin up,
Kristi in NC
Hang on Aleisa. It is getting closer. We received our referral for Joleigh on Sept 27 and TA on November 10. We left within a week. To me this is the most frustrating part of the wait! Hopefully you will hear something this week. Praying for you!
Mendy
